Mad Science with the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum - Owls from the Inside Out. Get up close to owls as an avian expert uses LIVE birds to show you the characteristics that help owls adapt to a predatory way of life. Students will dissect owl pellets to investigate the diet of a barn owl, learn about food chains and the role of avian predators in an ecosystem and gain an introduction to sketetal anatomy and prey identification. For grades 4-8. Space is limited, you must pre-register at the Children's Desk. April 16, 4:15pm.

Mad Science with the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum - Slime Time - Take a new look at gross, creepy and crawly things. We'll explore spider webs, silly string, and Jell-O brains before making two types of slime. We'll learn about the states of matter. Grades K-3. Space is limited, pre-register at the Children's Desk. Library Closure

The Veterans Memorial Library and all branches of the Chippewa River District Library System will close at noon on Good Friday, March 21 and will be closed on Sunday, March 23, 2008.
